The single control unit, constructed in robust ABS plastic, incorporates microphone, amplifier, induction loop aerial and rechargeable battery system. The Power Supply Unit connects to any convenient mains outlet to re-charge the Portable InfoLoop™. A range of accessories ensures convenience and flexibility in use. The electro-magnetic field extends to a maximum of 1.2m. The unit may be positioned wherever is most convenient, and may even be used outdoors. Operation If charged, the Portable InfoLoop™ is ready for immediate use. No installation works are required. An on/off switch and visual indicators denoting unit operation and battery charge state are mounted on the reverse of the unit. Full operating instructions are supplied with the unit.
