32 / 53 page  Recommended operating conditions LED7708 32/53 Doc ID 022698 Rev 1 1x256-bit data format (BDFS=1, BRLS=1) This option allows a complete brightness data transfer in a single 256-bit write operation. The brightness registers BRT01:BRT16 are simultaneously loaded at the falling edge of the LE signal. Only 65536 steps (16-bit) brightness control is supported by this data format. Figure 10. 256-bit data format, write operation to the brightness registers 1x192-bit data format (BDFS=1, BRLS=0) The brightness registers BRT01:BRT16 are simultaneously loaded at the end of a single 192-bit single write operation. This option is similar to the 1x256-bit format but optimizes the serial bus communication when 12 bits only are used for the brightness control.
