Inverse proportional to the number of pixels used in the

statistics gathering. Minimal value is the number of physical

output channels per side on the sensor, i.e. 8.

To support AWB and/or AEC/AGC algorithms in the camera, the sensor produces a 32-bin

histogram for each color channel of the frame that has been sent out. A total histogram (4

color channels combined) is also sent out. The histogram data is gathered from pixels in dual

exposure group 'L'.

Next to the 32 equally distributed bins, also the number of clipped black and clipped white

pixels is sent out.

Note that due to the dual sided readout, 2 image statistics blocks are sent off-chip: one for the

top part and one for the bottom part of the sensor. All statistical data need to be combined to

get the histograms of the total pixel array.

Image statistics are always transferred over the DATA0_OUT channels, one histogram per

row time. Valid image statistics data are indicated by the SVAL bit on the CTR_OUT channel.

The figure below shows the output sequence of a single histogram on a single channel.
